Building on the foundation of their Player Bass series, Fender is pleased to introduce the all-new Player Plus Active Precision Bass. With an expanded 3-band EQ for flexible midrange tone shaping, Music Experience bassists love that the Player Plus supplies even more of the patented punch and growl that Fender basses are known for. The mini toggle switches between active and passive circuitry, ensuring that your signal is as strong as the groovy lines you're laying down. A Jazz Bass bridge pickup adds bite while the HiMass bridge intensifies your sustain and resonance. The contemporary "C"-shaped neck is topped with a comfy 12-inch radius fingerboard with rolled edges for fluid runs up the neck. Pick out your favorite Player Plus finish, plug in, and you'll see and hear the remarkable difference of this Active Precision Bass.
Gigging bassists need access to a variety of tones at a moment’s notice. The Player Plus Active Precision Bass boasts an active 3-band EQ and switchable active/passive electronics, giving you access to everything from warm, thuddy grooves to punchy, midrange-heavy riffs. The PJ configuration gives you the best of both worlds, with the classic thump of a P Bass in the traditional middle position with the Noiseless Jazz Bass pickup at the bridge adding just enough bite. Fender's noiseless technology reduces unwanted hum and signal buzz so your active/passive signals remain clear and pure. And the HiMass bridge bolsters your tone with exceptional sustain and resonance.
The Player Plus' fretboard, playability features, and contoured neck design are resulted from painstaking designer attention. The fingerboard radius has been expanded to 12 inches and fits comfortably into the modern "C"-shaped neck. Additionally, the rolled-edge fingerboard plays much more efficiently and allows for easy transitions between the Player Plus' 20 jumbo frets. The Player Plus maintains several classic Precision Bass elements as well, including the tuners, vintage-style strap buttons, and knurled flat top control knobs with nickel/chrome hardware. In short, the physical traits of the new Player Plus will make you feel just as at home as its impressive electronic updates.
Leo Fender brought us the Precision Bass back in the 1950s, and its classic body shape and comfortable neck continue to give today's Player Plus Series version excellent playability and a distinctive look. Players from all genres have embraced the P Bass, and it continues to be a favorite in the studio and on stages everywhere. As with so many of Fender's original designs, the man got the essence of a great instrument right the first time. And over a half-century later, the Player Plus Series Precision Bass stands as a sterling example.
Powered by a Player Plus PJ pickup set, the Player Plus Precision Bass® delivers the punch and growl that defines Fender bass tone. A 3-band active EQ provides precise tone shaping with switchable active/passive operation for ultimate flexibility. The Player Plus Precision Bass neck is sleek, fast, and smooth thanks to its silky satin finish, comfortable rolled edges on a 12” inch radius fingerboard, and modern “C” backshape. A rock solid HiMass™ bridge provides sustain, resonance, and perfect intonation. With classic Fender style, advanced features and stunning new finishes, the Player Plus Precision Bass is the perfect tool to spark your creativity and stand out from the crowd.
This bass is equipped with a Player Plus Precision pickup and a Player Plus Noiseless Jazz Bass pickup offering the best of both bass worlds in one instrument. The split-coil Precision pickup yields a punchy and thundering low end while the Noiseless Jazz Bass adds clarity and growl. All this adds up to having a variety of classic tones at your fingertips.
The 18-Volt active preamp offers boost/cut for treble, bass, and mid frequencies for precise tonal shaping. A mini toggle allows the player to switch between active or passive modes for ultimate versatility. Finally, a quick access battery box on the rear of the instrument makes battery changes a snap.
This top-load bridge features a plate with more mass that adds resonance and sustain while the 4 beefed up saddles seat nicely inside saddle slots for rock solid intonation and stability.
This instrument features a fingerboard with flatter radius which facilitates speed and dexterity. Rolled edges smooth out the corners of the fingerboard making it much more comfortable in your hand, providing a luxurious playing experience.
The Modern “C” neck profile is one of Fender’s most popular neck shapes. A nice intermediate thickness in between thick and thin, it is fast and comfortable and suits all styles of playing.
