The 1950s were a golden age for the Tele, and the Fender Vintera Road Worn ‘50s Telecaster celebrates that legendary decade with a solidbody electric guitar that looks and feels like a well-loved original. Built from a solid slab of alder, this balanced-sounding Tele epitomizes the classic Fender tone, and its relic’d nitro lacquer finish supplies a comfortable broken-in quality. A set of hot-wound single-coil pickups serve up authentic 1950s-era bite and twang, while a Thick ‘50s U-shaped neck and 7.25-inch-radius fingerboard ensure easy vintage playability. The Fender Vintera Road Worn ‘50s Telecaster includes an attention-grabbing 1-ply black pickguard and a rock-solid vintage-style 3-barrel-saddle bridge and vintage-style tuning machines.
The Vintera Road Worn ‘50s Telecaster features a balanced-sounding alder body — a mainstay on Fender bodies with a distinctive tone that’s at the center of some of rock ‘n’ roll’s most enduring classics. A relic’d nitrocellulose lacquer finish gives this solidbody electric guitar the look and feel of a well-loved 1950s original. A 1-ply black pickguard and vintage-style 3-barrel-saddle bridge and tuning machines put the perfect finishing touches on this Tele, supplying you with original-era aesthetics, plus rock-solid performance and tuning stability.
If you appreciate classic Tele tone, you’ll love the Fender Vintera Road Worn ‘50s Telecaster. Its hot-wound single-coil pickups are dead ringers for 1950s-era pups, but — as we quickly discovered here at Music Experience — they have enough output to spank the front end of a modern amplifier. These pickups boast formvar-coated wire and Alnico II and III magnets in the neck and bridge, respectively, achieving a punchy sound with loads of bite and twang.
The Vintera Road Worn ‘50s Telecaster is a treat to play, largely because of its Thick ‘50s U-shaped neck profile. This is a pleasantly stout neck, and its increased mass yields an incredibly natural feel, as well as excellent sustain. Its 7.25-inch-radius fingerboard is complete with 21 vintage-tall frets that feel incredible to play. This neck secures to the guitar’s alder body with a traditional 4-bolt plate and includes a synthetic bone nut.
The Vintera Road Worn® '50s Telecaster recreates the look and feel of a well-loved original. Finished in nitrocellulose lacquer – prized for its natural tonal qualities and distinct aging patterns, then hand-distressed for an authentically broken-in look, this Tele® delivers the bell-like tone and playing comfort you’d expect from a great vintage guitar. For modern Fender tone we recreated the pair of ‘50s single-coil Telecaster pickups then kicked things up a bit by increasing the output. Twangy and articulate, they have the power you need for any style of music. The thick, fat-shouldered Thick '50s "U”-shaped neck has a 7.25”-radius maple fingerboard with 21 vintage-tall frets for classic playing feel. A vintage-style Tele® bridge with three brass barrel saddles gives this Telecaster it’s characteristic twang, while vintage-style tuning machines provide original-era aesthetics, rock-solid performance and tuning stability. Other features include vintage-style strap buttons, chrome hardware and four-bolt neck plate. Includes deluxe gig bag.
