The Fender 75th Anniversary Vintera Road Worn 1951 Telecaster takes you back to the Tele’s inception with uncompromising vintage-correct specs and a perfectly broken-in Road Worn finish. From the “baseball-bat” U-shaped 1-piece maple neck to the historic ash body, this slab-bodied 6-string authentically replicates the Tele as Leo Fender originally envisioned it. American-made Pure Vintage 1951 Telecaster pickups further cement this Tele’s era-accurate formula with a raw, biting twang that’s as inspiring today as it was three-quarters of a century ago. What’s more, the 75th Anniversary Vintera Road Worn 1951 Tele’s old-school 7.25-inch fingerboard radius and vintage-tall frets preserve the comfortable chording and fast-playing feel of a golden-age Fender. You also get a classic ashtray-style bridge loaded with three brass saddles, vintage-style slot-in tuners, and a commemorative 75th Anniversary Telecaster neck plate. A gracefully aged nitro lacquer finish ties this guitar together, all adding up to a faithful rendition of music’s most groundbreaking solidbody in its purest, most unadulterated form.

American-made Pure Vintage ’51 pickups

Crafted with vintage-correct components, Fender’s Pure Vintage ’51 Telecaster pickups re-create the sound that kicked off a musical revolution. These American-made single-coil pickups utilize the same cloth-covered wire, fiber bobbins, and alnico magnets as those used in the Fullerton factory in the early 1950s. In fact, many Music Experience Tele fanatics would argue that these humble ingredients are the key to the Tele’s iconic tone. From soulful blues to country cleans and driving rock ’n’ roll rhythms, Fender’s Pure Vintage ’51 Tele pickups deliver the genre-defying sound that built the Telecaster’s legend.

Feels straight out of ’51

Far from the slim C profile found on most modern Fenders, this guitar’s 1951 U-shaped 1-piece maple neck captures the full-bodied feel of a first-year Tele. It’s a shape that starts off chunky and only gets thicker as you climb toward the 12th fret, perfectly filling out your grip without ever coming across as cumbersome. Topside, you get a traditional 7.25-inch fingerboard radius for comfortable chording and a set of very subtly modernized vintage-tall frets. Best of all, the back of the neck features a broken-in Road Worn nitro lacquer finish that re-creates the feel of a neck that’s been played in with 75 years of gigs and sessions.

Fender Road Worn: a finish with finesse and refinement

Music Experience’s fans of Fender relic’d finishes will surely relish the inspired look and perfectly worn-in feel of the Road Worn models. While a touch more subtle than previous iterations with relic’d finishes, Fender’s Vintera Road Worn guitars and basses feature a nitrocellulose lacquer in a semi-gloss finish, complete with the handmade markings and light checking of an instrument with a story to tell. Your Fender Vintera Road Worn will quickly become the guitar you reach for time and time again, and, just like the perfect pair of blue jeans or your trusted baseball mitt, it will only continue to age with grace for years to come.
