If you play a Helix or other next-gen amp modeler, the Line 6 PowerCab 212 Plus was made for you. This stereo active guitar cab's flat response, massive 500-watt output, and generous headroom deliver every detail of your amplifier and FX models onto a stage or into a practice room, with enough level to keep up with a busy band and beyond. Choose from 12 different onboard speaker emulations to capture the perfect pairing for any head type, or import your favorite third-party cab IRs (up to 128) for instant recall of your studio favorites. A microphone-emulated output makes running straight out of your PowerCab into the PA a breeze. Line 6 knows a thing or two about amp modeling, and with the PowerCab 212 Plus from Music Experience, it shows.
The Line 6 PowerCab 212 Plus was built with next-gen amp modelers in mind. It can supply both a traditional guitar cabinet tone or a flat response. In Flat mode, the PowerCab 212 Plus delivers a full-range frequency response from 70Hz to 20kHz with a healthy amount of headroom. With this setting, there are no surprises — what goes in is what comes out. Your presets will sound exactly like they're supposed to. Beyond that, you also get 12 realistic guitar speaker models. These simulations not only produce the sound of a traditional guitar cab, but also the feel. No matter what you're playing — rock, country, blues, jazz, metal — the PowerCab 212 Plus is a great match for any amp modeler.
While the PowerCab 212 Plus includes plenty of top-shelf speaker models, there are a lot of great-sounding third-party options out there. Don't sweat it — with 128 user-loadable slots for impulse response processing, the PowerCab gives you all the flexibility you'll need to achieve the sound you're aiming for. All presets are recallable, MIDI- and L6 LINK-controllable, and can be configured as any mode (Flat, Speaker Modeling, or IR). A backlit LCD display and illuminated knob make for easy editing, and there's a built-in USB jack if you need to dig deeper with your Mac or PC.
The Line 6 PowerCab 212 Plus is loaded with custom coaxial 12" guitar speakers and a 1" compression driver, fed by a 500-watt stereo amplifier to deliver an impressive 131dB peak SPL. For even greater flexibility, a microphone-emulated XLR output allows for direct connection to a PA system. On top of that, foldout kickstands allow you to use the PowerCab 212 Plus for angled backline placement or as an angled floor monitor.
From the launch of their original POD to the company's industry-changing line of Spider amplifiers, not to mention their flagship Helix processors, Line 6 has been putting great guitar tone at guitarists' fingers for decades. The guitarists at Music Experience have been Line 6 fans since their kidney-bean-shaped POD days, and we're still quick to recommend their products to our customers. When it comes to innovative guitar technology, few brands can match Line 6. With products like the PowerCab 212 Plus, it's easy to see why!
The Powercab® 212 Plus active stereo guitar speaker system was specifically designed for use with professional modelers. If you are happy with your modeler’s onboard cabinet models and just want to hear the sound of your presets amplified, simply connect your modeler to Powercab 212 Plus, select Flat (FRFR) mode, and play. Switching to Speaker Modeling mode on the Powercab 212 Plus enables you to take advantage of 12 proprietary onboard speaker models—which are not the same as either cabinet models or impulse responses—for a more organic “amp-in-the-room” playing experience. Modeled speakers range from classics such as “Greenback” and “Blue Bell” to modern designs, and may be mixed or matched. Also, because Powercab 212 Plus is a stereo amp, ping-pong delays, expansive reverbs, spacious modulation effects, and even dual-amp setups will sound the way you intend them to be heard. Additional features include a rugged-yet-lightweight plywood cabinet with flip-out kickstands, a 2-inch LCD, 128 user preset locations, XLR direct outputs, MIDI In/Out, AES/EBU and L6 LINK™ I/O, a multipurpose second input, and a USB audio interface. Third-party IRs may also be loaded and saved within presets.
