The eagerly anticipated Nord Electro 7 stage piano has dropped, and it delivers everything we’d hoped for — and more. With each successive generation building on the esteemed Electro lineage, its predecessors have all been top sellers at Music Experience. Now, the Electro 7 further raises the performance bar with updated Piano, Organ, Synth, and Effects sections, physical drawbars with LEDs, and a new color display, live mode, and push encoder that make program selection a snap. The Electro 7 is available in three models with your choice of 61 or 73 semi-weighted waterfall keys or a 73-note hammer-action keybed. Whichever you choose, you’ll be gigging in style with a sleek, lightweight, roadworthy chassis loaded with premium Nord sounds and effects. Packed with powerful features, the Nord Electro 7 is ideal for both live performance and sound design, onstage and in the studio.
Superb sound design, effects manipulation, and playability have remained at the forefront of Nord innovation since the conception of the company's first combo organ. With its Organ section derived from the renowned Nord Organ 3, the Electro 7 benefits from Nord's fastidious attention to detail while adding even more options for deep, authentic sound sculpting, with updated transistor organ models, Rotary Speaker emulation with selectable mic positions, and Slow/Fast and Stop controls. The Electro 7 features independent Vibrato and Chorus control over upper and lower manuals — a must-have feature for the discerning organ-focused keyboardist. And of course, having ready access to physical drawbars gives you the ability to tweak your sound in real time.
Nord loaded the Electro 7 with tons of features that make gigging and recording easier than ever. A new large color display lets you instantly see your settings, effects, and more. You can also set up splits and layers that combine the organ, piano, and sample sections. The updated Synth section gives you expanded controls for sample playback, Analog and FM synthesis, Mono and Legato modes, Glide and Unison, a Filter with resonance and FM partials, an ADR Envelope for amp and filter, and synth Vibrato. The Piano section now offers Dynamic Compression and Unison modes. The Effects section has also been updated with controls for Ring Modulator, Rate/Amount, and Vibe, as well as a Compressor selectable either globally or per section, a global Reverb with per layer Send, and new amps, including spectacular Suitcase and Brit models.
Touring may be rough on musicians, but it's the gear that really gets thrashed. The Nord Electro 7 61 is built to take whatever your tour schedule can dish out, and then some. Nord builds its instruments for serious professional use. The 7's 61-key size strikes a perfect balance, offering you two-handed playability in a lightweight, maneuverable chassis.
