You'll have the sound of the first wah pedal ever made with the Dunlop Clyde McCoy Cry Baby Wah Wah pedal. Based on the first Clyde McCoy pedals from the Thomas Organ Company and Jen Electronica, Dunlop's Clyde McCoy wah boasts a throaty voice and wide-ranging sweep. And the tone is sweeter and more stable, thanks to Dunlop's HI01 Halo Inductor that eliminates the microphonics of the original design. And if it can withstand the abuse of the gigging guitarists at Music Experience, we're sure you'll be impressed with the rock solid construction of the Dunlop Clyde McCoy Cry Baby Wah Wah too.

You'll have the wah wah sound that started it all
Countless guitarists have made the wah wah effect their own, but we all have to thank the original Clyde McCoy wah for starting it all. This is the design Dunlop based this Clyde McCoy Cry Baby Wah Wah on, and its vocal-like sound and wide sweep make it incredibly expressive. Considering Dunlop has over 30 years of experience creating exceptional wah pedals, it's only natural that they're the ones to re-introduce the world to the Clyde McCoy wah sound.
Smooth and sweet sound thanks to the HI01 Halo Inductor
The original Clyde McCoy wah sounded sweet but had issues with microphonics - mechanical sounds and vibrations turning into noise in your signal. It could even lead to harsh feedback. Dunlop created the HI01 Halo Inductor to eliminate these issues, essentially stabilizing key components to prevent microphonics.
They don't build 'em like they used to - except for this one
We've put enough gear to the test here at Music Experience to know when something is built to last, like the Dunlop Clyde McCoy Cry Baby Wah Wah. The rugged housing feels like you could hammer nails with it, and the pot, switch, and jacks are all top-shelf components. And because the through-hole circuit design is stronger than surface-mounted electronics, you can expect many reliable years of service from this road-ready wah pedal.
What Dunlop Says...
The Clyde McCoy Cry Baby Wah is a tribute to the first production wah wah ever made. This modernized classic captures the throaty voice and expressive sweep of the original while offering gigging players the consistency and convenience they need on the road. As heirs to the wah lineage and guardians of its legacy, Dunlop drew from decades of wah design and building experience to ensure that the CM95 faithfully represents the tone and spirit of the very first model. Years ago, we inherited the original tooling and machinery used to design and manufacture the first Clyde McCoy pedals from the Thomas Organ Company and Jen Electronica. Combining these resources with our own 30+ years of experience developing and manufacturing wah pedals allowed us to create the most fitting tribute to the original Clyde McCoy Wah. The most important element of any wah wah pedal is its voice. The Thomas Organ Company and Jen Electronica used a special component called a Halo Inductor to give the original Clyde McCoy pedals their highly-coveted smooth vocal quality. Because of the way those original Halo inductors were built, however, they often added undesirable microphonic noise. Our engineers created the Dunlop HI01 Halo Inductor to solve this problem, updating the original design with a stabilized cup core to preserve the unique Clyde McCoy sound while minimizing unpleasant microphonics. The rest of the CM95's circuitry is just as faithful to its forebear, featuring thru-hole components built into a classic housing with a premium pot, switch, and jacks. Now, you can take the classic Clyde McCoy sound out on the road and leave your vintage wah safely at home. This Cry Baby Wah captures the throaty, expressive sound of the original wah pedal, featuring a Halo™ Inductor and thru-hole components with a premium pot, switch, and jacks.
