Flexible and capable, the Electro-Harmonix Triboro Bridge pedal gives you three distinct flavors of dirt for any occasion. Three operating modes are on tap — Overdrive, Distortion, and Fuzz — with each mode offering a unique sound. First up is Overdrive, a low-to-mid gain mode that is the perfect “always-on” pedal or boost. Next comes Distortion. Distortion mode gives you extra gain stages for saturated and crunchy tones. Finally, the Fuzz mode delivers all-out, over-the-top aggression with abundant amounts of gain. Depending on the mode, the bass and treble knobs operate differently, giving you plenty of tones to explore. Finally, the compact and pedalboard-friendly EHX Triboro Bridge comes with a buffered bypass to keep your signal healthy.
Triboro Bridge’s first operating mode is Overdrive mode. While functioning in Overdrive mode, the pedal delivers a low-to-mid gain spectrum. The voicing is very open, which helps it stack with other dirt boxes or sing on its own. There are a couple of different ways to use Overdrive mode. First, you can use it as a gentle “always-on” effect to add grit to the signal. Second, Overdrive mode is the perfect boost to give you more gain for solos. Finally, you get a 2-band Bax-style EQ for quick and immediate tone sculpting!
Distortion mode adds extra gain staging to kick Overdrive mode up a few of notches. And do we mean a few notches! Distortion mode is your one-stop shop for crunchy power chords and saturated lead lines. Your controls remain the same as in Overdrive mode, giving you a 2-band Bax-style EQ for easy tone-shaping. Need more tonal variation? No problem. The EHX Triboro Bridge also has an Input Contouring EQ to give you a more modern sound.
Switch the Triboro Bridge into Fuzz mode, and the pedal rewards you with a ludicrous amount of gain. In fact, Electro-Harmonix describes Fuzz mode as “over-the-top gain,” a statement we here at Music Experience agree with. This mode transforms the Treble knob into a gate control and the Bass knob into a lowpass filter. These two knobs give you an insane amount of tones to play with, from sludge to shoegaze shimmer. If you’re looking for a totally different tone, Fuzz mode has you covered.
The EHX Pico Triboro Bridge is a tri-mode drive box with a wide range of tonal possibilities. Featuring Overdrive, Distortion, and Fuzz modes, it bridges any gap in your gain. With a powerful EQ, input contouring, and a pico-sized footprint, the Triboro Bridge can be your tonal keystone or a welcome change from the routine drive. Starting with Overdrive mode, the gain spectrum ranges from low to mid with an open voicing that can be used as a light always on drive or a solo boost. Engage the Triboro’s Distortion mode for additional gain-staging for a tone from crunchy rhythms to fully saturated leads. Transform the pedal into something completely different with the Fuzz mode’s over-the-top gain, Gate and Low Pass Filter. The Triboro Bridge controls features Volume and Gain knobs to control the overall output and saturation of the tone. In Overdrive and Distortion modes, the Treble and Bass knobs act as a Baxandall EQ for simple yet effective tone shaping. In Fuzz mode the Treble knob is now the gate more, controlling the Fuzz’s noise gate threshold, and the Bass knob controls a Low Pass Filter for extreme tonal variations. Additionally, the Triboro Bridge features an Input Contouring EQ which can be applied to your tone at the input, for a more modern, sculpted tone in all modes.
