The functional and flexible elysia nvelope 500 gives you three great modes of operation: full range, dual band, and EQ. Full range mode lets you tweak the attack and sustain of your track. Dual band mode gives you control of the attack and sustain, like full range mode, but adds frequency controls to determine the start and end frequencies that are affected. With EQ mode, the nvelope 500 turns into a shelf filter where attack and sustain controls turn into cut/boost controls to dial in your ideal frequencies. You can also mix the channels of the elysia nvelope 500 to have one full range channel and one dual-band channel at the same time!
With dual mono and stereo functions, the elysia nvelope 500 adds even more flexibility. In dual mono mode, you can process the bass drum and snare on separate channels simultaneously. Tweak your synth track in stereo mode for punch and detail while setting a different EQ on each side. The nvelope offers significantly enhanced sonic capabilities and flexibility. Unlike its predecessor, originally developed by CEO Ruben Tilgner at SPL, the nvelope allows precise control over attack and sustain parameters within specific frequency ranges, thanks to its Dual Band mode. This selective processing leads to a natural, musical response, minimizing unwanted artifacts often encountered in Full Range mode. Its improved sound quality and advanced features make the nvelope a powerful tool for detailed dynamic sculpting, delivering superior clarity and punch.
nvelope operates independently of signal level, allowing you to quickly dial in attack and sustain adjustments without balancing complex controls. Turn the controllers left to reduce or right to increase attack and sustain. Unlike Dual Band mode, the Freq A controller reduces the influence of low frequencies on attack processing.
Attack and sustain parameters become more flexible by selectively processing a chosen frequency range. Freq A sets the start frequency for attack, while Freq S sets the end frequency for sustain. This mode is ideal for material that produces artifacts in Full Range mode, giving precise, musical control over dynamics.
nvelope can be used as a shelving EQ by deactivating the dynamics section while keeping the filters active. Freq A sets the high shelf frequency, with Attack determining cut/boost. Freq S sets the low shelf frequency, with Sustain controlling cut/boost. Channels can operate independently or be linked for stereo processing.
nvelope offers dual channels that can operate in different modes simultaneously. For example, one channel in Dual Band mode while the other in Full Range, or chain signals through both channels for EQ followed by Dual Band impulse shaping. The combinations allow ultimate flexibility for complex audio processing tasks.
Boosting attack in Full Range mode can produce large peaks. The Auto Gain function compensates for these peaks automatically, maintaining balanced levels and preventing unwanted distortion. Auto Gain is not used in Dual Band or EQ modes.
