Iconic offset construction

This is one of the coolest looking Mustangs we have ever seen. The Limited Edition Fender American Shortboard Mustang has a natural finished ash body. It's not just a standard ash body. Walnut competition stripes have been laminated into it. It has then been oiled to protect the wood. Rather than caking it in finish the oil lets the wood breath better. This will improve sustain and resonance. Bolted onto the body is a maple neck with rosewood board. A twenty four inch scale length make this guitar very compact and easy to play. The back of the neck has a hand rubbed oil finish.

Two Fender Black Dove single-coil pickups

The hardware lineup on the Fender American Shortboard Mustang is interesting. It comes with two Black Dove single coil pickups. These are P-90 styled. This FSR sounds great with both cleans and overdrive. They are versatile pickups. Fatter than a standard single coil and without the muddiness of humbuckers. It ships with its own hard case. If you like the look of this then don't hang around. There are very few available.
