The Fender Vintera '60s Jaguar Modified HH solidbody electric guitar combines the classic Jaguar look with a modern feel and electronics for a new generation of players. Starting with the original short-scale design, this Jag is equipped with a pair of high-output Atomic humbucking pickups for explosive tone — and you can switch them into single-coil mode for classic Jaguar tones too. The Modern "C" neck profile and 9.5" fretboard radius offer a fast and smooth feel, whether you're chording or soloing. And with the floating tremolo matched with an Adjusto-matic, you've got expressive playability with more string stability than ever before. Complete with the distinctive "tone cut" switch, the Fender Vintera '60s Jaguar Modified HH delivers everything that rocks about one of Fender's most iconic guitars.
To meet the sonic needs of forward-thinking guitarists, Fender optimized the Vintera '60s Jaguar Modified HH for maximum tonal versatility. It's loaded with dual Atomic humbucking pickups, with ample output to push your amp into overdrive just by turning up your volume knob. For classic Jaguar tones, you can switch them into single-coil mode too. As you'd expect, this Jaguar also offers sliders to switch each pickup on or off individually, as well as a slider to cut your lows and focus your tone.
With its Modern "C" profile, 9.5" fretboard radius, and 22 medium-jumbo frets, the maple neck on the Vintera '60s Jaguar Modified HH doesn't disappoint. Expect a comfortable feel that doesn't feel thin, but also won't impede your progress if you find yourself in higher positions.
The Vintera Series offers Fender’s most popular models in a myriad of shapes and sizes. These instruments are ideal for players who dig vintage-style Fenders, but feel that American Original and Custom Shop guitars are out of their reach. Vintera Series instruments are available in both Vintage and Modified configurations: Vintage models span the ’50s to the ’70s, with period-correct specifications for each era, while Modified models look like vintage instruments but include modern updates that contemporary guitarists will appreciate. All Vintera Series guitars and basses boast Tim Shaw–designed pickups and are available in a wide array of vintage-inspired colors. The guitarists here at Music Experience have found the Vintera Series to be the perfect introduction to Fender’s iconic lineup of legendary instruments.
For players who appreciate the mojo of Fender’s golden era matched to contemporary features, we created the Vintera ‘60s Jaguar Modified. Blending classic looks with a modern neck profile and fingerboard radius, hotter pickups and updated electronics—this guitar packs a surprising amount of power under the hood. To crank out giant-sized tone from this short-scale wonder, we loaded it up with a pair of high-output Atomic™ humbucking pickups. They have the power to easily drive a tube amp into luscious overdrive, while retaining the articulate sound that made Fender famous. The “Modern C”-shaped neck has a 9.5”-radius maple fingerboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets, for modern playing feel. An Adjusto-matic™ bridge is paired to Jaguar floating tremolo, while vintage-style tuning machines provide original-era aesthetics, rock-solid performance and tuning stability. Joining the master volume and tone controls, two sliders on the lower bout activate/deactivate each pickup while the third slider activates a “tone cut”. The wheels on the upper horn select between single-coil and humbucking modes for each pickup, giving you more tonal variety. Other features include a kill switch mounted on the upper horn, chrome hardware and four-bolt neck plate. Includes a deluxe gig bag.
A classic Fender tone wood, alder’s sound is balanced, with equal doses of lows, mids and highs.
The “Modern C”-shaped profile is designed for comfort and performance. The smooth back finish makes it play even faster.
For supercharged tone, we installed a pair of fat-sounding Atomic humbucking pickups on this Jaguar. Powerful yet articulate, they’re just the thing for modern musical styles.
Comfortable for chording and single-note playing alike, the 9.5”-radius fingerboard offers modern feel thanks to its medium-jumbo frets, while also making wide bends easier in the upper registers.
The Adjusto-matic bridge offers stable saddles and better intonation, while moving the tremolo closer to the bridge provides a better break angle and reduces ringing.
Two sliders activate/deactivate each pickup while the third slider activates a “tone cut”. The wheels on the upper horn select between single-coil and humbucking modes for each pickup, and are joined by a kill switch.
