If you want the vintage Jaguar experience, you'll be impressed with the Fender Vintera '60s Jaguar solidbody electric guitar. It delivers a period-correct playing experience, from the Mid-'60s "C" neck profile and 7.25" fretboard radius to a pair of snarling single-coil pickups. The tone is confrontational and sometimes rude — exactly how a Jaguar should sound. And with its iconic rhythm and lead tone circuits, and the classic "tone cut" slider, you've got an impressive sonic range to explore. Complete with a floating vibrato and vintage-style bridge, the Fender Vintera '60s Jaguar puts classic Jaguar vibe in your hands.
Fender designed the single-coil pickups in the Vintera '60s Jaguar to be as period-correct as possible. The sound is chiming and aggressive, perfect for when you're looking for anything besides "subtle." Need to cut through the mix even more? Engage the Jaguar's bass-cut switch to cut lows and focus your mids and highs.
The Fender Vintera '60s Jaguar is a treat to play, largely because of its vintage-style neck profile. This is a pleasantly stout neck, and its increased mass yields an incredibly natural feel, as well as excellent sustain. And guitarists at Music Experience are enjoying the vintage-style frets combined with the 7.25" fretboard radius — it may just be the feel you've been searching for among Fender's offset offerings.
The Vintera Series offers Fender’s most popular models in a myriad of shapes and sizes. These instruments are ideal for players who dig vintage-style Fenders, but feel that American Original and Custom Shop guitars are out of their reach. Vintera Series instruments are available in both Vintage and Modified configurations: Vintage models span the ’50s to the ’70s, with period-correct specifications for each era, while Modified models look like vintage instruments but include modern updates that contemporary guitarists will appreciate. All Vintera Series guitars and basses boast Tim Shaw–designed pickups and are available in a wide array of vintage-inspired colors. The guitarists here at Music Experience have found the Vintera Series to be the perfect introduction to Fender’s iconic lineup of legendary instruments.
For players who want the style and sound of Fender’s golden era, we created the Vintera ‘60s Jaguar. Equipped with the coveted features that defined the decade—including period-accurate neck profile and playing feel, along with recreated vintage-style pickups—this guitar has all of the “round”, yet bold, tone that made the Jaguar a legend. For authentic, vintage-style tone we recreated the pair of single-coil Jaguar pickups to sound and feel more like the originals—keeping the focusing cages, of course. The chiming neck pickup is tempered by the bright, aggressive bridge pickup. The “Mid 60s C”-shaped neck has a 7.25”-radius fingerboard with 22 vintage-style frets for classic playing feel. Vintage-style Jaguar bridge, tremolo and tuning machines provide original-era aesthetics, rock-solid performance and tuning stability. Other features include the classic lead/rhythm circuit, chrome hardware and 4-bolt neck plate. Includes a deluxe gig bag.
A classic Fender tone wood, alder’s sound is balanced with equal doses of lows, mids and highs.
Remarkably comfortable, the "Mid ’60s C"-shaped neck profile is sculpted for a vintage-style playing feel—thinner at the first fret, thicker at the twelfth.
We revoiced the pickups to be more ‘70s-accurate. They’re clear and articulate, with improved string-to-string volume balance.
Hosting 21 vintage-style frets, the 7.25”-radius fingerboard provides the comfortable playing feel of a vintage instrument. The matching painted headstock is a cool touch, too.
One of our most innovative designs, this “locking” tremolo offers the sound and feel of a vintage tremolo.
This circuit makes it easy to dial in preset rhythm and lead sounds and switch between the two on the fly—great for live performances.
