The Fender Vintera '70s Telecaster Thinline is designed to re-create the sound of the original Telecaster Thinline guitars. Featuring the classic semi-hollow ash body, maple neck, and '70s-style headstock logo, it certainly looks the part. True to traditional specs, this Tele carries a pearloid pickguard, 3-way switching, and vintage-style frets that make this axe look and play like a vintage Fender Thinline. Guitarists at Music Experience are impressed by the wide-range humbucking pickups that lend this axe a more mellow and thick sound that works perfectly for rhythm parts and jazz leads alike. If you're a fan of the classic Fenders of old, the Vintera '70s Telecaster Thinline will impress you with classic tones, powerful output, and gorgeous looks.
The magic of the '70s Thinline begins with a semi-hollow ash body that provides a focused sound and long sustain. The top of the guitar features an F-hole that adds extra resonance and acoustic presence when you're playing unplugged. The neck's carve is comfortable in your hands and works well with any playing style. The neck's finish even has a vintage-correct tint to complete the look of this guitar.
Tradition is everything with this guitar. As such, this Tele features dual wide-range humbucking pickups with period-correct enamel wiring and Alnico V magnets. The pickups produce a rich sound that's perfectly suited to clean and dirty channels alike. A Stratocaster hardtail bridge, Fender stamped saddles, and string-through-body increase sustain and your tuning stability.
The Fender Vintera '70s Telecaster Thinline is a true re-creation of the original '70s Tele Thinline guitars, down to the smallest details. This guitar ships with the classic Fender "bullet" truss rod nut and '70s era block headstock logo. Fender "F" stamped tuners stay true to the style of the era and stay in tune the way that Teles do. This homage to the old-school instruments is completed by a vintage spec 3-bolt neck plate.
The Vintera Series offers Fender’s most popular models in a myriad of shapes and sizes. These instruments are ideal for players who dig vintage-style Fenders, but feel that American Original and Custom Shop guitars are out of their reach. Vintera Series instruments are available in both Vintage and Modified configurations: Vintage models span the ’50s to the ’70s, with period-correct specifications for each era, while Modified models look like vintage instruments but include modern updates that contemporary guitarists will appreciate. All Vintera Series guitars and basses boast Tim Shaw–designed pickups and are available in a wide array of vintage-inspired colors. The guitarists here at Music Experience have found the Vintera Series to be the perfect introduction to Fender’s iconic lineup of legendary instruments.
For players who want the style and sound of Fender’s classic years, we created the Vintera ‘70s Telecaster Thinline. Equipped with the coveted features that defined the decade—including period-accurate neck profile and playing feel, along with re-voiced pickups—this guitar has all of the growl and twang that made the Telecaster a legend. We recreated the pair of Wide Range humbucking pickups to sound more like the ‘70s originals. Bold and fat-sounding, they have the punchy tone that’s inspired musicians for over four decades. The “Thin C”-shaped neck has a 7.25”-radius fingerboard with 21 vintage-style frets for classic playing feel. A vintage-style, string-through-body hardtail Strat® bridge with six saddles gives this Telecaster accurate intonation, while “F”-stamped tuning machines offer period-correct aesthetics, classic feel and rock-solid tuning stability. Other features include three-bolt neck plate, chrome hardware and vintage-style strap buttons. Includes deluxe gig bag.
A classic Fender tone wood, ash produces warm lows, defined mids and chiming highs.
The “Thin C"-shaped neck profile is sculpted for a period-correct playing feel that’s comfortable for all players.
We revoiced the pickups to be more ‘70s-accurate. They’re clear and articulate, with improved string-to-string volume balance.
Hosting 21 vintage-style frets, the 7.25”-radius fingerboard provides the comfortable playing feel of a vintage instrument.
This Telecaster incorporates a hardtail Fender Strat® bridge with a rock-solid string-through-body design and six saddles for pinpoint-accurate intonation.
These tuning machines offer the look and feel of classic machines with the added benefit of enhanced tuning stability.
