The Vintera Fender Road Worn '70s Telecaster Deluxe looks and sounds so much like an original-era classic, it’s guaranteed to stir up feelings of nostalgia. A relic’d alder body gives this solidbody electric guitar a comfortable broken-in quality, while its Wide Range humbuckers deliver a bright, bold sound that harkens back to the days of 8-track players, mood rings, and leisure suits. This Tele’s medium C-shaped neck feels amazing, while its 9.5-inch-radius fingerboard offers buttery smooth playability. The Vintera Road Worn ‘70’s Tele includes a 6-saddle string-through-body hardtail Strat bridge with bend steel saddles and vintage “F”-stamped tuning machines.
The Vintera Road Worn '70s Telecaster Deluxe features a balanced-sounding alder body — a mainstay on Fender bodies with a distinctive tone that’s at the center of some of rock ‘n’ roll’s most enduring classics. A relic’d nitrocellulose lacquer finish gives this solidbody electric guitar the look and feel of a well-loved 1970s original. A 6-saddle string-through-body hardtail Strat bridge with bend steel saddles and vintage “F”-stamped tuning machines put the perfect finishing touches on this Tele, supplying you with original-era aesthetics, plus rock-solid performance and tuning stability.
Fender designed the Vintera Road Worn '70s Telecaster Deluxe’s Wide Range humbucking pickups to sound bright and bold, delivering the punchy character you'd expect from a Tele. And your sonic options are vast when you explore the control scheme. You'll find volume and tone controls for each pickup, plus 3-way pickup switching. Guitarists at Music Experience dig this variation on the classic Tele controls, allowing you to dial back the tone on the bridge pickup without dulling your neck pickup's tone when using them in conjunction.
The Vintera Road Worn '70s Telecaster Deluxe is a treat to play, largely because of its medium C-shaped neck profile. This is a pleasantly stout neck, and its increased mass yields an incredibly natural feel, as well as excellent sustain. Its 9.5-inch-radius fingerboard is complete with 21 medium-jumbo frets that feel incredible to play. This neck secures to the guitar’s alder body with a 3-bolt plate and includes a synthetic bone nut.
The Vintera Series offers Fender’s most popular models in a myriad of shapes and sizes. These instruments are ideal for players who dig vintage-style Fenders, but feel that American Original and Custom Shop guitars are out of their reach. Vintera Series instruments are available in both Vintage and Modified configurations: Vintage models span the ’50s to the ’70s, with period-correct specifications for each era, while Modified models look like vintage instruments but include modern updates that contemporary guitarists will appreciate. All Vintera Series guitars and basses boast Tim Shaw–designed pickups and are available in a wide array of vintage-inspired colors. The guitarists here at Music Experience have found the Vintera Series to be the perfect introduction to Fender’s iconic lineup of legendary instruments.
