Its pair of humbucking pickups provides you with growling lows and focused highs, and a slim neck with a bound laurel fingerboard makes the AS73FM a pleasure to play. If you've been searching for semi-hollow tone and a great value, Music Experience can highly recommend the Ibanez Artcore AS73FM.

    Naturally expressive tone

There's no substitute for the mellow and naturally resonant sound of an electric guitar with a semi-hollow body. Whether you're playing rockabilly, blues, or any number of modern styles, you're going to love the character the AS73FM semi-hollowbody guitar brings to your music.

    Classic Elite humbucking pickups

Early hollowbody and semi-hollowbody electric guitars had wonderfully expressive tone that came with serious hum issues. That's why Ibanez and other guitar makers quickly developed special humbuckers, such as the Classic Elite models. These special humbuckers preserve your AS73FM semi-hollowbody guitar's bite but ditch the 60Hz hum and other noise. What's more, Classic Elite humbuckers give the AS73FM a unique sonic character that you're sure to have fun with.

    Smooth feel and comfortable action

The neck of any guitar determines how well it plays, which is why Ibanez selected one of their smoothest and most comfortable necks for the Artcore AS73FM semi-hollowbody guitar. Not only will your hand love the slim carve of this nyatoh neck, but your fingers will appreciate the beautifully bound laurel fingerboard.

    Ibanez: a brief history

Ibanez began its life in 1908 as the Hoshino Gakki company in Nagoya, Japan. However, the company didn’t get into the guitar business until 1929, when they started importing Salvador Ibanez guitars from Spain. In 1935, Hoshino Gakki began building Spanish acoustic guitars under the Ibanez Salvador name, which was later shortened to Ibanez. Although Ibanez began manufacturing electric guitars in 1957, the company was relatively unknown in the West until the 1960s, when they started producing guitars based on American designs. By the late 1970s, Ibanez had stopped producing derivative guitars and had begun manufacturing the original designs that the company is now known for. Ibanez is also famous for their effects pedals (most notably the Tube Screamer) and guitar amplifiers.

    What Ibanez Says...

Ibanez introduced Artcore in 2002 and has been the hollow-body guitar of choice for musicians for the last 10 years. The Artcore's combination of quality workmanship and affordability has created legions of fans from diverse genres as blues, country, rock and jazz. Musicians can find the purity of an old school style jazz-box to a hybrid semi-hollow rocker. Artcore is highly respected for its tone, sustain and the way they hold their tuning and how the series continues to push the boundaries of guitar building.
