While we can't offer you Tim Henson's fretboard mastery or impeccable sense of timing, we can offer you a guitar that can keep up with the most demanding technical players — the Ibanez Tim Henson Signature THBB10 solidbody electric guitar. Designed in collaboration with Polyphia's guitarist, the THBB10 combines expressive playability with technical prowess. A trio of DiMarzio pickups in HSS configuration delivers a vast sonic range to explore. And its rock-solid roasted maple neck with AZ Oval "C" profile and 24 jumbo stainless steel frets set a foundation for the most advanced playing techniques. Complete with premium appointments like a Graph Tech Tusq nut, Gotoh locking tuners, and a Gotoh tremolo, Music Experience can confirm the Ibanez Tim Henson Signature THBB10 gives you everything you need to step up your game.
Equipped with three DiMarzio pickups and 5-way switching, the Ibanez Tim Henson Signature THBB10 guitar is designed for maximum sonic flexibility. These are Tim's custom DiMarzio Notorious pickups, designed to offer the dynamics of vintage single-coil pickups, with a smoother top end to avoid the ice pick effect. The Notorious mini humbucker in the bridge position is wound for medium output, to balance perfectly with the output from the single-coil pickups.
To create a rock-solid foundation for frantic fretwork, the Ibanez Tim Henson Signature THBB10 is fitted with a roasted maple neck and fretboard. Roasting the maple increases its stability, durability, water resistance, and tolerance to temperature changes. As the years go by, you'll notice that you won't need to tweak the truss rod nearly as often as some of your other guitars, even if you live in extreme climates.
While Polyphia have blazed new trails in progressive and math rock styles, their sound originates from a heavy, shred-focused core. That requires guitars with highly expressive playability, and that's why the Ibanez Tim Henson Signature THBB10 guitar is equipped with a Gotoh T1502 tremolo tailpiece as well as Gotoh MG-T locking tuners. Flutters, crickets, and dive-bombs all return to your original tuning with precision, allowing you to play with passion without worrying about your tuning stability.
Created with Polyphia guitarist Tim Henson as a signature instrument, the Ibanez THBB10 is designed for technically demanding music that demands fluid speed and note clarity. Based on the popular AZ models, this guitar delivers excellent sustain and a flexible tonal range. The lightweight basswood body matches perfectly with the custom DiMarzio THBB pickups, and the Gotoh tremolo bridge and locking tuners team with the GraphTech nuts to bring stable tuning while still offering excellent tremolo function. From technical prog and metal to modern fusion jazz, this is a guitar with a huge range and stunning looks.
