Infinitely expandable

Need a Tweed-y clean or a British lead for a particular session? Locating the Rig of your dreams is as simple as searching and auditioning sounds within the free Rig Exchange. These user-generated Rigs are not models — they're real-world amps and stomps from the most elite guitar/bass setups on the planet, exactingly profiled using Kemper's patented Profiling/convolving technology.

Three operating modes

The streamlined Kemper Profiler Stage is a fine-tuned machine built for the performance environment. Its two performance modes equip you for casual jamming to television prime time, while its profiling mode permits access to virtualizations of your personal amp collection, even thousands of miles from your home studio.

• Browser mode — Navigate and select Rigs from your stored library. You can store up to 999 profiles on your Profiler Stage and cycle through at will for instant jamming and recording inspiration.
• Performer mode — Map out entire songs' worth of Rigs (125 songs, five slots per performance) and step through tones using the five designated switches. This is the perfect way to access verse, chorus, lead, bridge, and solo tones as easily as traditional stompboxes, without having to cycle through presets.
• Profiler mode — Kemper's calling card is its ability to re-create your exact amp and FX chains in the digital realm, and the Profiler Stage proves to be no exception. Bring signals in through Return 1's TRS port to store digital snapshots of all your favorite amp/cab/FX chains.

Functionally designed, designed to function

The illuminated sunlight-proof display, which increases display contrast even with the sunlight’s intensity, is designed to be viewed from any distance, under any lighting conditions, and the housing is built like a tank. Just what the doctor ordered for touring musicians on dark stages or sunlit outdoor festivals! Five buttons allow direct access to five different Rigs per Performance — tap once to select the Rig, and tap again to trigger a morphing. Entire Performances can be switched using a bank system. Four Effect Buttons can be assigned individually per Rig. Use these to toggle pre- and post amp FX, either singly or in groups, as well as Action & Freeze functions such as Delay Infinity. Setting them up is easier than putting a new contact into your cell phone: click Effect Button, choose FX, assign, done. Dedicated buttons control Tuner Mode and Looper, as well as trigger Tap Tempo or other assignable functions. Up to four expression pedals can be connected to control continuous parameters of the sound. Alternatively, external switches can be connected for even more toggling functions. The PROFILER Stage™ features dedicated Stereo Monitor Outputs for driving two either full range or standard guitar cabinets simultaneously and independently from the direct stereo feed. Two stereo effect loops with stereo returns for each allow for connecting both pedals and outboard studio effects.

Make a loop, make another loop

There is something magic about loopers. It doesn’t matter if you use them to create layered worlds of sound or to rehearse the complex middle-8 of your last composition. With a single click of a button, the PROFILER Stage activates loop recording and you can record, overdub and delete by using the buttons on the board. You can reverse, play at half speed and undo takes. The maximum duration of a loop is 60 seconds at half speed, or 30 seconds at full speed.
