Impact LX Mini features a newly developed keybed with 25 velocity-sensitive mini keys. It can be played expressively and has a defined, firm feel. With a choice of 4 velocity curves and 3 fixed values, you can tailor the keyboard response to your playing style. Dedicated Octave buttons let you shift the octave swiftly, and Part 2 buttons can be used for transpose, layering, or MIDI channel switching.
The joystick provides pitch bend, modulation, and foot pedal control, with freely assignable push-button functionality. A footswitch socket for sustain pedals is included, with automatic polarity detection and full MIDI assignability. LX Mini also offers 7 transport buttons, expandable to 14 functions with the shift button and up to 21 with Nektar DAW integration.
Eight velocity-sensitive pads with 4 pad maps allow expressive finger-drumming and quick note assignments. Eight knobs provide instant access to arpeggio, instrument, or MIDI CC parameters, with expanded functionality via the Page button. Two independent Arp/Repeat engines give real-time control over synth and percussion lines with immediate access to rate, swing, accent, interval, tempo, modes, and octave.
Part 2 is a unique performance feature for momentary setup changes. Press dedicated “Part 2” buttons to momentarily shift octaves, transpose, layer octaves, or switch MIDI channels. Release the button to revert to original settings, or latch a new configuration using the second Part 2 button. Notes held prior to engaging Part 2 continue playing at original settings.
With Nektar DAW Integration, control essential DAW functions directly from Impact LX Mini’s transport section. Navigate tracks, launch windows, set locators, or select patches without using a mouse. Instrument Mode allows instant control over virtual instrument parameters such as Osc Tune, Level, Mod 1 & 2, Cutoff, Resonance, Envelope, and LFO, with up to 16 assignable parameters using the Page button.
Bitwig Studio 8-Track is included, providing over 50 instruments and effects across 8 audio/MIDI tracks, plus the Bitwig Essentials Package. Additionally, 5 full Cherry Audio plugins are included: Mercury-6, PS-20, OctaveCat, DeamSynth, and Stardust 201, allowing for a full production setup right out of the box.
