The AMS Neve 8804 Fader Pack brings true console-style control to your 8816 Summing Mixer, delivering the tactile mixing experience engineers love. Handmade in Burnley, England, this professional long-throw fader module features 16 channel faders, two master faders, and 16 Cut/Solo switches — giving you complete command over your mix. The 8804 also provides 16 direct outputs, allowing you to repurpose your 8816’s rotary level controls as auxiliary sends for seamless outboard integration. With USB connectivity for saving and recalling settings, plus flexible 4U rackmount or optional tabletop operation, the 8804 is designed for effortless setup and operation.
Equipped with 16 smooth 100mm long-throw channel faders, the 8804 offers +15dB of gain and hands-on control over channels 1–16 of your 8816 mixer. When connected, the mixer’s rotary Level controls are reassigned as auxiliary send controls, enhancing workflow flexibility. Two master faders manage left and right outputs with a range from -∞dB to 0dB, while 16 Cut/Solo buttons provide immediate mute or solo control through the mixer’s relay system — making detailed mix adjustments intuitive and responsive.
More than just a control surface, the 8804 expands the capabilities of your 8816. Its 16 balanced direct outputs can be configured pre- or post-fader for recording or external effects sends. In post-fader mode, you can choose whether outputs respond to Cut/Solo functions, enabling sophisticated routing options. This setup makes integrating hardware processors, such as reverbs and delays, seamless within your mixing workflow.
Designed to complement contemporary computer-based production environments, the 8804 includes USB connectivity for easy session recall via Mac or PC software. For larger setups, you can connect up to two 8816 mixers and two 8804 Fader Packs simultaneously, creating a powerful hybrid mixing system. Combining classic Neve craftsmanship with modern flexibility, the 8804 delivers the hands-on control and professional performance demanded by today’s engineers.
From Rupert Neve’s pioneering solid-state console designs in the 1960s to the iconic 80-series and 8078 consoles that defined the sound of 1970s rock, the Neve name has long stood for uncompromising audio excellence. Today, AMS Neve continues that tradition with innovative, high-performance tools that blend timeless analog character with advanced functionality — and the 8804 Fader Pack proudly carries that legacy forward.
The AMS Neve 8804 Fader Pack converts your 8816 Summing Mixer into a full-featured Neve® console. Designed for both rackmount and tabletop use, the 8804 includes 16 long-throw channel faders with associated Cut & Solo switches, plus two master faders. The faders offer a solid, precise feel, complemented by Total Recall™ of all parameters, and maintain the pristine Neve sound quality, making this combination an essential addition for professional studios.
There’s no substitute for the tactile experience of true fader control. Adding the 8804 to the 8816 forms a fully-fledged Neve® console, giving engineers total command over their mixes. With eighteen long-throw faders in total, each channel fader ranges from -∞ to 0dB at the central position and up to +15dB at the top, allowing ultimate precision in balancing and fine-tuning your 8816 mix.
The 8804 includes separate left and right main mix faders, providing precise control over stereo balance at the crucial master stage. The included Neve® Recall software links the solo and cut switches between the 8816 and 8804, ensuring seamless integration and workflow continuity.
Adding an 8804 provides access to 16 direct outputs via D-Type connections, allowing pre- or post-fader stems to be recorded individually. Additionally, the 8816’s rotary Level pots can be repurposed as auxiliary sends for cue mixes or reverb processing, expanding the studio’s routing possibilities. Rack-mount, tabletop, or desk placement is supported through the 4U 19″ frame, built-in stand, or optional side cheeks, making the 8804 adaptable to any studio setup.
Every fader position and switch setting on the 8804 can be recalled instantly using Neve® Recall software. The interactive application tracks manual fader positions, allowing complete session restoration in seconds — providing modern efficiency while preserving the hands-on control and character of a classic Neve console.
