You can pack up to 1,500 licenses on the 3rd Generation iLok — that’s three times as many as the previous generation. Measuring just 1.5" x 0.5", it’s the smallest iLok ever, yet extremely durable thanks to its split- and crack-proof aluminum frame. Security is enhanced with a wider, stronger loop that supports most desktop cable locks, an etched serial number that won’t wear off, and an embossed logo that makes counterfeiting extremely difficult. A glowing blue LED indicator completes the design.
The 3rd Generation iLok can hold up to 1,500 licenses and, depending on license type, may support even more. With triple the capacity of its predecessor, it allows you to carry significantly more software authorizations in a single compact device.
Half the size of the 2nd Generation iLok, this redesigned model minimizes the risk of accidental bumps while connected to your computer. Despite its compact footprint, the one-piece extruded aluminum frame is built to withstand drops without splitting or cracking.
The integrated security loop is built directly into the aluminum chassis, making it extremely difficult to break or remove when secured with a cable lock. A clearly visible etched serial number and embossed logo further enhance protection and authenticity.
The 3rd Generation iLok holds up to 1,500 licenses, compared to roughly 500 on the 2nd Generation. You can use older and newer iLoks together in the same account, and the 3rd Generation iLok functions the same as previous versions while remaining fully backward compatible. Zero Downtime protection is available, with optional Theft and Loss Coverage enabled through iLok License Manager. While you don’t need to upgrade to continue working, some software requires a 2nd Generation iLok or newer. Licenses can be freely moved between old and new iLoks.
The iLok USB is a dedicated hardware device that securely stores licenses for iLok-enabled software. When you launch compatible software, it checks for a valid license on your connected iLok USB. Some software publishers also allow licenses to be activated directly to a host computer or via iLok Cloud, giving you flexible authorization options while maintaining strong copy protection.
The iLok USB is fully backward compatible, ensuring that all software developed for use with a 2nd Generation iLok continues to work seamlessly with a 3rd Generation iLok USB-A or USB-C. With optional Zero Downtime (ZDT) protection, you’ll always retain access to your licenses if your iLok USB is lost, damaged, or stolen.
The iLok License Manager application makes it easy to manage your secure and portable licenses from one central interface.
